Radiomir 1936
Panerai Radiomir 1936 California dial.
In 1936, the Italian navy had a special request: a luminous underwater watch, both durable and reliable, for its divers. Panerai had already spearheaded the technology of luminous dials and sighting devices. Uniting that bit of chemistry and the company's watchmaking expertise, the Radiomir 1936 was created.
Seventy years later, the Radiomir 1936 is faithful to the original. It features a 47-millimeter case that screams active man and a black face with luminous Arabic and Roman numerals and luminous hour and minute hands known as the California dial. The watch is manually wound, but it has a power reserve of 56 hours and is water resistant to 30 meters.

Vincent Calabrese 52
Vincent Calabrese 52 circa 1996
In the middle of the dial, assembled by 4, the 52 weeks of the year are shown by a beautiful hand with a red arrow, which indicates simultaneously the months written on the periphery of the dial. Every Sunday at midnight, the arrow will automatically move on. In addition to these indications, the 52 gives you other information, useful for every day, such as: the power reserve indicator and the date calendar. It also features a sub-dial providing an entire week’s home time. Its rim is divided into seven segments, corresponding to the days of the week while the position of the hand, as it completes its rotation in exactly one week, indicates at will the time of the traveler’s home. All these mechanisms are put in 1mm of thickness.

Patek Philippe 2526
Patek Philippe 2526 on bracelet circa 1950s
Reference 2526 was introduced into the market in 1952 and was Patek Philippe's first self-winding watch ever made, starting with movement number 760'000 (delivered in July 1953 to Mr. J.B. Champion, one of Patek Philippe's faithful clients. This watch, fitted with a gold bracelet, is today the pride of a discerning collector). The model features the legendary calibre 12-600 AT which was granted Swiss patent No. 289758 in 1953 for "a self-winding mechanism for a wristwatch movement using the energy supplied by a rotary mass causing an eccentric part to transmit a swinging movement to an organ of the mechanism". The first 500 examples of reference 2526 were fitted with the earliest version of calibre 12'''600 without ball bearing, rendering these watches particularly rare and collectable. The majority of reference 2526 was cased in yellow gold, a small series in pink gold and an exceedingly limited number in white gold and platinum.Mainly fitted with enamel dials with applied gold baton numerals, the white gold and platinum examples were also available with silvered metal dials with diamond indexes.
